| What
better way to enjoy a stay at Rancho Viejo than to experience a dinner
of authentic regional specialties or classic continental cuisine in an
elegant setting? Originally an adobe home surrounding a traditional Spanish
courtyard and fountain, the Casa Grande is historically intriguing and
wonderfully entertaining. A cantera paved patio, carved furnishings, tapestries,
bronze art objects and paintings take one to colonial Mexico.
Enjoy
the Executive Chef's
Tequila Grilled Rack of Lamb, South
Texas Beef Wellington
with Prickly Pear demi glace
or Vegetable
Empanada. If you prefer something more traditional, you might like to
order the Red Snapper en Papillote with green onion, King Crab meat and
Gulf Shrimp or Chateaubriand for two, prepared tableside. Flaming desserts
such as Cherries Jubilee and
Bananas Foster
are also, favorites. The Casa Grande has an excellent
wine room with a connoisseur's collection of wines
and spirits. The Casa Grande is a beautiful dining room, perfect for a
private business dinner or a romantic evening for two. A dress code is
observed in the Casa Grande.
Equally
as enjoyable for an early morning breakfast before golf, or for lunch
or dinner, our informal Ranchero Room is the place to go. Overlooking
the Resaca del Rancho Viejo and
offering a broad selection of homemade specialties, regional
southwestern cuisine and all-American
favorites the Ranchero Room is open daily in the main clubhouse behind
the golf pro shop. Special offerings include an omelet and waffle station
buffet on Sunday with a continuing Champagne brunch.
We also present Viva Italia from, a variety of Italian cuisine on Wednesday evenings from October through April. The adjoining
Bandidos Den bar serves as the perfect 19th hole after a round of golf.
